The Wash Table

About this site

Dog Grooming Courses is an independent educational publication. It teaches grooming a dog at home as a course: 20 courses and 240 lessons, in order, from setting up a safe space through coat groups to knowing when to stop and get help.

The site covers home maintenance and introductory reference only. It does not teach professional breed cuts, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and does not claim that reading text alone qualifies anyone to groom professionally. Where a skill needs hands-on teaching, the lesson says so.

No authors are named on this site, and no practitioner credentials are claimed. The lessons are written as general information, checked against the further-reading sources named on each lesson, and dated honestly: every lesson was published on 29 October 2026, the launch date.

This site is not affiliated with any grooming school, certification body, tool brand, or veterinary organisation. No affiliate links are used, and nothing is sold here.

Corrections are welcome. The corrections page explains how to raise one, and the contact page states honestly that no contact address is published yet.
